Touch anywhere on the screen and drag to steer: drag up to fly, left or right to drive, and down to drill. The drill deploys by itself when you push into soil below or beside the pod while it stands on solid ground. It can't drill upward, so fly up instead.
On a keyboard, use the arrow keys or W A S D, and P to pause.
Fly up into the save drone hovering to the right of the ASSAY office. Your pod, money and story progress are saved, together with the mine exactly as you left it, tunnels and all.
The game doesn't save automatically, and there is one save slot. To pick up where you left off, choose Load game on the title screen.
Choose Continue on the game over screen to return to your last save, or to start a new game if you never saved. Anything since that save is lost, so visit the save drone often.
The ground gets harder the deeper you go. When your drill is too weak for the depth, it slows to a crawl and the screen tells you to upgrade. The WORKSHOP shows how deep each drill stays effective.
Buy items at the SUPPLY depot and use them from the item bar, or with their key on a keyboard. Dynamite, Plastic Explosive, the Phase Jumper and the Recall Beacon only work while the pod is on the ground.
Tap the globe button on the title screen, or open Options (the gear button) during a game and choose a language. Until you pick one, Deep Core follows your device's language.
No. Deep Core plays fully offline and never connects to the internet.
No. There are no ads, no in-app purchases and no account to create.
Your save is stored only on your device, and there is no cloud save. Deleting the app also deletes your save.
After the ending you can record your victory. Your next contract, New Game+, starts from that save: a freshly generated mine, your cash, a stock pod, and minerals that pay less with every contract.
